I attach the flimsy of a letter

which I have sent to Sir John Simon's

Private Secretary.

The enquiry made by

Captain Bourne followed a letter which he

received from one of his constituents, and there

is nothing on the file to show that he is

anxious to receive the periodic reports submitted by

Hong Kong. I do not propose, therefore, to send

nim one now, but the file might perhaps come up

for Captain Dugdale to see in the middle of

October.

He may be in a position to say

whether Captain Bourne would like to receive

these reports regularly.
